Montag und Dienstag 10. und 11.02.25

Wir befinden uns auf der Finca Espacio Alegria. Sie vereint den Flair eines Campingplatzes und hat den Preis eines Stellplatzes für Wohnmobile. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht, angefangen von einem kleinen Einkaufsladen, einer Gaststätte bis hin zu einem Pool, der auch tatsächlich schon in Betrieb ist.

We are at the Finca Espacio Alegria. It combines the flair of a campsite with the price of a motorhome pitch. There is everything you need, from a small shop and a restaurant to a pool that is actually already in use.

Rings um die Finca stehen Plantagen von Mandelbäumen und diese stehen zu dieser Jahreszeit schon in voller Blüte.

The finca is surrounded by plantations of almond trees, which are in full bloom at this time of year.

Wir erkunden hier ringsum die Finca die Gegend zu Fuß und mit den Fahrrädern.

Around the finca, we explore the area on foot and by bike.

Wir entdecken unterwegs ein Aqädukt, über das tatsächlich noch Wasser fließt.

On the way, we discover an aqueduct over which water actually still flows.

Eine wunderschöne Kirche mit einem Platz zum Verweilen im Nachbarort.

Der Sonnenschutz besteht aus gestrickten Kreisen mit vielen unterschiedlichen Motiven.

The sun protection consists of knitted circles with many different motifs.

Wir finden eine kleine Bar und wollen essen. Da wir kein Spanisch verstehen und das Internet im ländlichen Raum nicht überall geht, wie wir uns das vorstellen, wird die Bestellung wieder zum Abenteuer. Wir zeigen was wir möchten und bekommen dies auch.

Der Betreiber der kleinen Bar ist schon weit über die 70.

We find a small Bar and want to eat. As we don't understand Spanish and the internet doesn't work everywhere in rural areas, ordering again becomes an adventure. We show what we want and get it.

The owner of the small bar is well into his 70s.

Mittwoch 13.02.25

Wir machen von der Finca mit dem Mietauto einen Ausflug nach Cartagena. Dafür gibt's einen separaten Blogartikel.

We are taking a trip from the finca to Cartagena in the hire car and I have a separate blog article for this.

Donnerstag 13.02.25

Wir fahren weiter Richtung Süden, vermeiden es aber auf Autobahnen zu fahren. Wir wollen das Land entdecken und langsam reisen. Wir kommen in ein Steppen ähnliches Gebiet.

We arrive in an area similar to a steppe.

Die Straßen sind teilweise in einem ziemlich schlechten Zustand, so dass wir sowieso nicht schnell fahren können. Es gibt da viel "Luft nach oben".

The roads are in pretty bad condition in places, so we can't drive fast anyway. There is a lot of "room for improvement".

We drive further south, but avoid driving on motorways. We want to discover the country and travel slowly.

Wir kommen in Àguilas an und finden direkt am Meer einen Stellplatz. Kurz entschlossen halten wir hier und beschließen die Nacht hier zu bleiben.

We arrive in Àguilas and find a pitch right by the sea. We decide to stay here for the night.

Obwohl hier kein offizieller Stellplatz ausgewiesen ist, haben sich manche Camper schon recht häuslich eingerichtet.

Although there is no official designated pitch, some campers have already made themselves at home.

Wir laufen entlang der Strandpromenade von Àguilas und schauen uns alles an.

We walk along the beach promenade of Àguilas and take a look at everything.

Als es Abend wird, färbt sich der Himmel tiefrot und bezaubert mich wieder mit seinem Farbenspiel. Farben die meine Seele erfreuen.

As evening falls, the sky turns deep red and enchants me again with its play of colours. Colours that delight my soul.

Am nächsten Morgen haben wir wieder wolkenlosen Himmel und die Temperaturen sollten 21°C erreichen.

The next morning we have cloudless skies again and the temperature should reach 70°F.

Ich habe im Internet eine Person kennen gelernt, die uns bei sich einen Stellplatz angeboten hat. Wir haben uns heute nach 15 Uhr verabredet. Da wir noch jede Menge Zeit haben, fahren wir in den kleinen Ort Las Negras. Es ist ein Ort mit weißen Häusern und dann der Name mir einer ganz anderen Bedeutung.

I met a person on the internet who offered us a parking space at her place. We arranged to meet after 3 pm. As we still have plenty of time, we drive to the small town of Las Negras. It's a place with white houses and then the name has a completely different meaning.

Nachmittags fahren wir zu Elli, so nennt sich unsere Gastgeberin. Sie ist eine Deutsche, die Deutschland seit einigen Jahren den Rücken gekehrt hat. Sie ist eine sehr bemerkenswerte Frau. Das Grundstück hat sie von ihrer Oma geerbt und baut es sich nach ihren Vorstellungen allein aus. Wir dürfen alles fotografieren und es auch hier im Blog veröffentlichen.

In the afternoon, we drive to Elli, as our hostess calls herself. She is a German who has turned her back on Germany a few years ago. She inherited the property from her grandmother and is developing it according to her own ideas. We are allowed to take photos of everything and publish them here on the blog.

Der Blick ringsherum ist einfach umwerfend. Das schöne Wetter tut natürlich auch etwas dazu.

Am nächsten Tag wollen wir weiter und ich möchte bezahlen gehen. Elli ist nicht da. Ich gehe in ihr Wohnzimmer, wo sich ihr Hund befindet und aufpasst. Wir hatten uns gestern schon angefreundet, also kein Problem. Ich muss nur aufpassen, das er nicht raus läuft. Ich lege das Geld unter eine Tasse, mache ein Bild und schicke es Elli. Die Übernachtung kostet 15 Euro und ich lege 20 Euro unter die Tasse. Wir fahren weiter und ein bisschen Wehmut kommt auf. Dieser Ort hier ist wunderschön.

The next day we want to move on and I want to go and pay. Elli isn't there. I go into her living room, where her dog is and looks after her. We had already made friends yesterday, so no problem. I just have to make sure he doesn't run out. I put the money under the cup, take a picture and send it to Elli. The overnight stay costs 15 euros and I put 20 euros in the till. We drive on, and a little bit of a smile comes on this place is beautiful.

Wir halten in der kleinen Stadt Adra, weil wir einen Markt sehen. Samstag ist in den meisten Städten an der Küste Markttag. Mit dem Wohnmobil parken ist auf Grund der Länge meist ein Problem in Städten. Ich fahre rückwärts in die Parklücke und blockiere fast den ganzen Fußweg.

We stop in the small town of Adra because we see a market. Saturday is market day in most towns on the coast. Parking a motorhome is usually a problem in towns because of the length of the car park. I reverse into the parking space and block almost the entire footpath.

Ein Stück weiter sehen wir Wohnmobile am Strand stehen und beschließen uns dort mit einzureihen. Wir wollten eigentlich zu einem anderen Platz fahren aber wenn dieser voll sein sollte, dann geht die Sucherei nach einem Stellplatz los. Also nach dem alten Spruch: "Lieber ein Spatz in der Hand als eine Taube auf den Dach". Mal ehrlich, so schlecht ist doch dieser Platz nicht, oder?

A little further on, we see motorhomes parked on the beach and decide to join them. We actually wanted to drive to another site, but if this one is full, then we have to start looking for a pitch. As the old saying goes: "Better a bird in the hand than a pigeon on the roof".

Let's be honest, this place isn't that bad, is it?

Sonntag 16.02.25

Auf unserer Weiterreise müssen wir leider feststellen, je weiter wir nach Süden kommen, desto voller sind die Stellplätze. Nicht nur wir haben die Idee, die Küstenstraße entlang zu fahren.

Unfortunately, as we continue our journey, we realise that the further south we go, the more crowded the pitches are. We are not the only ones who have the idea of travelling along the coastal road.

Wir finden Platz auf dem Campingplatz Villa del Mar Nerja ein Pool-Club. Hier ist gerade Tanz angesagt und eine Sängerin versucht die Leute zu animieren. Es fühlt sich an die Mallorca-Feeling.

We find a pool club at the Villa del Mar Nerja campsite. Dancing is the order of the day here and a singer is trying to get people moving. It feels like Mallorca.

Als der Abend anbricht wollen wir ans Meer. Dies geht nicht, da uns Gemüseplantagen den Weg versperren. Wir sehen Lichter und gehen entlang der Straße. Wir kommen in den Ort Maro. Uns Beiden gefällt gleich das Flair des Ortes. Alles sieht irgendwie ganz toll und gepflegt aus. Etwas anderes als im Rest des Landes. Spanien hat ein großes Müll Problem. Die Leute schmeißen alles an den Straßenrand und dementsprechend verschmutzt ist alles.

As evening falls, we want to go to the sea. This is not possible as vegetable plantations block the way. We see lights and walk along the road. We arrive in the village of Maro. We both immediately like the flair of the place. Everything looks great and well-kept. Something different to the rest of the country. Spain has a big rubbish problem. People throw everything at the side of the road and everything is correspondingly dirty.
